Couple Offended In The Renewal Of Wedding Vows

Many couples renew their wedding vows as early as one year after their wedding day and some couples have a pact to renew their vows every year on their anniversary.

Such a couple decided to renew their vows while on vacation in the Maldives and chosen to renew them in a traditional Maldivian ceremony at their hotel.

A member of the staff even filmed the brief ceremony but once the video was leaked to the world famous website YouTube the couple were in fact crudely mocked and highly insulted.

The staff member who was running the 'ceremony' said such things as "one of you is an infidel", the other is also an infidel "and went on to say" you are not the kind of people who may have a valid marriage "and even told them that their marriage is not valid.

The Vilu Reef Beach and spa resort had this couple take a package worth more than a thousand pounds (GBP) and classified it as a luxurious hotel that welcomes couples who want to renew their wedding vows and state such phrases like ' hand in hand against a golden sunset background '!

Bride Married In Family Church

Sophie Holt-Wilson and Adam Chappell got married in a church that had once belonged to Sophie's family over three hundred years ago and has been closed for the past five years after being declared pastorally redundant.

The bride is a direct descendant of Sir John Holt who was the Lord Chief Justice of King William III, Queen Mary II in the seventeenth century and the Church of St Mary was built by the Abbots of the Benedictine Abbey of St Edmundsbury in the fourteenth century.
Sophie and Adam exchanged their vows for family and friends in what was a 'one off ' marriage ceremony and the couple felt very privileged to be married in the church that is used only six times per year for Sunday worship and funerals. Special permission had to be applied for them to get married in the church.

While the bells, which for five years been silent, were ringing, the newlyweds were driven to their family home for reception in Redgrave on a tractor.

Earlier this year, the Church of St Mary made the headlines when a woman fell through the floor and coffins belonging to the family of the Holt were discovered.
