Five rescue miners to marry in church

After being trapped underground for two months, five of the miners who were rescued proposed to their girlfriends and fiancees during a party earlier this week.

The miners all met for the first time since being pulled 2050 metres up a narrow shaft in a capsule during a forty-hour rescue operation where emotions were high in the small coastal village in the caldera after sixty nine days spent together underground.

The ordeal of the miners had hit television worldwide and the world watched with excitement as each of the men were finally put safe back on solid ground.

Claudio Yanex has already been ten years with his girlfriend Christina Nunex and says it is now time for them to marry and Esteban Rojas, who married his wife twenty five years ago in a civil ceremony has vowed to marry her again in the Church. All the other couples are also planning church weddings.

What better way to say thanks for his life than to exchange wedding vows with the loved one you thought you may never see again!
