Wedding Games

Wedding Games
Is there a wedding in your future? Would you like more than the traditional sit down dinner and dance? Want to spice it up a bit and add a touch of fun and flare to your ceremony? Do you want yours to be of the marriages that is emulated and most talked about all season? Why not play some hilarious wedding games?

We've all heard and seen your basic wedding games and rituals such as dancing the hokey cokey, the infamous throwing the Garter. Not only can you do more. now you can have such wonderful and wacky games as the egg-roll play, or how well I know my husband/wife and even games with names such as Kiss and Tell, or is that my wife's/husband's bum?

All of these actually emerge from ancient Chinese wedding games that are played during the traditional wedding banquet feast, but they can be easily customized and personalized for use with any tradition or culture.

In the egg roll the bride and groom are brought to the front of the room and the wife gets a raw egg. They will then be prompted to kneel for her husband. They must now pass the egg up one pants leg, up the front and down the other leg, removing the egg intact. Needless to say, they are a hoot and it can make for some funny and often messy situations. A certain crowd pleaser.

To play how well I know my wife? The bride or groom is blindfolded. All women lineup behind the bride and with only his sense of smell he must decide from the line which is his wife. He must identify his bride with a kiss. It's always fun and will surely bring a smile or two. For even more hilarity, throw a few men into the mix!

For Kiss and tell the groom must be blind folded and then all women, together with his new bride walk around and plant a light kiss on his cheek. He must then determine the kiss of his new bride. Again, it is always nice for Uncle Joe or Grand Pa to be added to the list of lovely maidens.

A little risque for some, but a real crowd pleaser at most Chinese wedding banquets is Who's Bum? In this example, the bride is blindfolded and all men line up behind her new groom. She should him by to feel alone.

These are just a few games that can be added to liven up any reception. Each can be personalized to fit in most cultures. They are a great way to get to know guests and provides a beautiful and playful first night for the bride and groom.
